Cima Technology Center is a Latino Development and Business Accelerator Center managed
by Battelle and Wright College's Humboldt Park Vocational Education Center.

A Catalyst for Community-Focused Economic Growth

The Cima Technology Center is encouraging the growth of small high-tech businesses and training individuals in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. We’re here to help build the community from within.

What is Cima?

Cima is a wireless technology business accelerator and workforce development program. We develop, mentor, and grow local small businesses in targeted wireless and information technology areas. At the same time, we train community residents for new employment opportunities, created in part by our own initiatives.

Our goal is to provide job creation and business support to the Humboldt Park neighborhood. This economically depressed area is home to the rich culture of a long-established Latino population. By creating a unique high-tech economic development framework, Cima can help revitalize both the local economy and the community itself.

Encouraging Business Growth
and Training

Our program integrates two activities under one roof. We coordinate our job training and company acceleration and incubation functions to benefit each other. We provide our companies with operations support and qualified labor, while individuals training at Cima gain immediate experience in technology jobs.
